Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

Item upgrade, commonly known as "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment boosts a stat linearly.

Players can recycle up to six items at a time to gain an ability to gauge the level of each of the upgraded components. The cost of recycling an item scales with its rarity and level.

Upgrade components

An item upgrade in Guild Wars 2 is a process that can increase the stats of your armor and weapons. This can be achieved in a variety of ways, including by using upgrade components or increasing the rarity or mark level. In addition there are many items that can be reforged, which can boost their stats even more.

Upgradeable items are available all over the game, both in the world and as rewards for missions. They can also be crafted by players. The most common method of upgrading equipment is through the use of upgrade components, which are components that can be slotted into equipment. The majority of equipment comes with upgrade slots, and the majority require a certain level of upgrade.
