WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost to certain stats. Each upgrade item increases Item Level Upgrade level by 3. Each upgrade also boosts a random substat.

Upgraded gear generally sees more value in trade as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or a very high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the requirement to roll to get a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade their gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. However, the item that is used for the upgrade will remain in use for a long time and can't be used again. Upgrades can be applied to enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date it is recommended you visit the upgrader each couple of weeks.

The cost of upgrading will vary based on the current item upgrades level of the gear being upgraded but they will always be less expensive than buying new equipment from other sources. For example, upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same item from another player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase tools, armor, weapon, and accessory upgrades. They can be bought by players through item upgrade upgrader NPCs in exchange for different currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be applied to any tool, weapon, or armor. button, which will show a preview of the item when it is upgraded if the player has sufficient materials.

This is especially relevant for items like rings and trinkets that occupy multiple slots. The discount on the account is only applicable when all the slots on the character are filled with top-quality equipment.
