Most robot vacuum-mop combos can be customized with a specialized app to save your home's maps as well as set cleaning schedules and choose mopping modes. You can also adjust the suction power and the amount of water the mop is using.

A mapping function helps your robot navigate around rooms. A feature to avoid obstacles prevents it from running over wires, furniture or even stray toys. These are must-have features in my house, stuffed with toys scattered around.

1. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the top-of-the-line vacuum and mop, comes packed with features. It can sweep and mop simultaneously, and raise its mop pads or brushes so that soft surfaces don't get wet. It can also avoid obstacles by looking for pet toys, plants and other small objects.

The robotic vacuum has a maximum suction power of 6,000 pascals which is more than any other robot vac we've tested. It also has PreciSense LiDAR Navigation that tracks its location, preventing it from getting stuck on an object.

The S8 Pro Ultra's mopping capabilities are also impressive. It can continuously apply pressure to the pad of over 6 Newtons to give a thorough clean. It also has an automatic hoover mop lifting system, which will lift the pad as it moves from tile to laminate, hardwood to carpet and rugs, thereby avoiding the possibility of soaking these soft surfaces.

The S8 Pro Ultra also has self-washing and self drying features. The pad can be rinsed and then dried with the dock and the dust bin will get emptied and automatically returned to it. This means you can put it away and forget about it, only having to clean the dust bag and refill the water tank occasionally.

All of this is powered by a lithium-ion battery of 5,200mAh. The S8 Pro Ultra ran on its standard mop- and vac-settings for around 160 minutes before it started to lose power, and then returned to its base to recharge. This is within the range of the 180-minute time that Roborock claims and is in line with other hybrids I've tried.

This is a highly complete and robust product, with the only downside being that it's pricey. The number of features makes it a great choice for anyone who is looking to replace their old mops and stick vacuums. We highly recommend this vacuum if you can justify the cost.

2. Dreametech L10S Ultra

The Dreametech L10S Ultra is a high-end robot vacuum and mop combination. The premium price is justified by the robust features, including a large vacuuming capability, as well as two gyrating mop heads. It comes with an app-enabled smart controller as well as powerful obstacle-avoidance technology.

The L10S Ultra is one of the most expensive robotic vacuum and mop combos available, at a recommended retail price of 999 euros. In my tests, it performed well across all areas of the home, removing 98.4 percent of debris from all types of floors and able to lift long hair without getting caught in. The mops also performed well and produced excellent cleaning results with less effort than most mid-range models, due to their rotational motion as well as an incredibly strong cleaning solution.

However, the L10S Ultra's real selling point is its advanced multi-functional docking station. The dock empties its dustbin into dirt bag, then refills its water tank for mopping, and dries its mop pads for you. It features a real-time risk detection system, and its sophisticated controls let you schedule regular cleaning sessions.

Unlike the other hybrid vacuum mops I tested and compared, the L10S Ultra doesn't offer advanced debris removal on carpets. In addition, its mops aren't as capable at scrubbing away staining that is as strong as those in the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra, which is the most expensive model. Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.

In spite of the L10S Ultra's many top-of-the-line features, it requires regular care and maintenance. Its base station has to be emptied, and the water tank and dust bag must be emptied, cleaned and dried regularly to prevent mildew and unpleasant odors. The mop pads that are sold separately will require replacement every few months.

I would recommend the L10S Ultra to anyone with the budget. For those who are on a budget, I suggest considering a less basic model that will allow you to save money while still enjoying the convenience of hands-free cleaning at home. Even if the L10S Ultra was the best robot vacuum that mops robot mop and automatic vacuum cleaner you could find but its cost and constant maintenance will make it more of an item to have than one that you actually need.

3. Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking for a robot mop and vacuum that can remove dust and dirt on your floors while taking care of wet messes then take a look at the Eufy S1 Pro. This powerful robovac/mop set-up has a powerful suction capacity of 8,000 Pa. It also has an enormous battery capacity that can be used for both mopping and vacuuming. It is also equipped with a top-notch obstacle-avoidance system. It also comes with a roller mop that cleans itself as it moves and makes the S1 Pro stand out from other models that need to return to their base station mid-cleaning to wash off the mop pad.

The S1 Pro uses a unique mopping system that is a big difference from the microfibre pads and spinning discs that other robots. The roller is almost the entire width of the robot, and it receives a constant supply of fresh Ozonated, filtered water from the dock. The roller scrubs the floor while soaking up dirt. Dry debris is removed using the side brushes, or swept into the front collision bumper. The S1 Pro then discharges the mop water that is dirty into its base station, which is then sucked up by the tank's heating elements and dumped into a larger storage canister. The tank onboard holds a good amount of water, and can manage about a dozen mopping sessions before running dry.

Like many robot vacuums and mop combinations, the S1 Pro is ready to come out of the box. It must be filled with clean water, however this is easy to do within the cleaning dock. You can also add a cleaning solution to the dock, should you prefer the option of using your own cleaner. However, if you do opt for this feature you'll have to purchase the brand-name cleaning solution from Eufy which is more expensive than other robot brands that allow users to use their own choice of cleaners.

The S1 Pro performed well in the navigation efficiency and coverage tests, as did most robots. It was fast to map a room, and it easily navigated around furniture. The only issue is that it was stuck a couple of times on carpets with longer piles and rugs during my tests however this could be improved as the software is updated. The S1 Pro is a very capable all-in-one robot for affordable prices.

4. Roborock Qrevo

The Qrevo is Roborock's entry level vacuum and mop, but it still has some outstanding features. Its multifunction dock empties the robot's dirtbag, and refills its water tanks, washing and sanitizing the mop pads as they go. The mopping system itself is capable of cleaning up a significant portion of a space before it has to return to its dock and the vacuum's high suction does a nice job of picking up debris and pet hair on carpets.

The app that runs the appliance is quite dense, with a wide variety of options to personalize the cleaning process. You can set it up manually to start a full map and clear everything that's been mapped by the device, or you can select individual rooms, expandable zones, or even a routine you've set up. There are several mopping options which include SmartPlan -- an algorithm that utilizes the mops' sensors to determine the most efficient method to tidy your home as it maps the space.

The Qrevo was a great performer in our tests, like the other Roborock models we've tested. Its navigation system is reliable that can quickly map rooms and cleaning them in an organized fashion. The default pathing setting does an excellent job of covering a room, with no major gaps or missed areas. Reactive Tech's hazard-avoidance feature works well, however it is not as advanced as the color camera systems on the Qrevo Master and the S8 Pro Ultra. It can spot hazards such as thick carpets however it won't always recognize smaller things like rug tassels or electrical wires.

One of the biggest flaws of this device is the absence of a mop after vacuum option that could be a problem for people who do a lot of vacuuming before cleaning with their robot. Thankfully, there's an easy solution: the app offers an option to "clean up" at the end of each session. This lets you use the mopping function of the vacuum to eliminate the last remnants of dust and debris that are left behind by the vacuuming. This is a great feature that can help this robot clean a little better than its less expensive competitors.
