WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. A random additional substat is also added to each upgrade.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless the item is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like the eth Titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll to get a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be made on any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item used to upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear current it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each several weeks.

The cost of upgrading will depend on the current item level of the equipment being upgraded however, they will always be cheaper than purchasing new equipment from other sources. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are functional items which can be used to improve the quality of weapons, tools, armor, and accessories. Players can purchase them from item upgraders NPCs in a variety of currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased it can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor using an button, which will display an item's preview at its next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.

The cost of upgrades varies based on the slot of the item upgrader kit and the current level of the item as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than gloves or bracers for instance. Each step costs 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with some upgrades offering discounts to lower the cost of Flightstones or the crests used. After an item upgrades has been upgraded to a certain amount, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower cost.

Upgraders for items are available in many places, including the main island and some outposts. The NPCs offer an upgrade coupon and a chance to obtain a new recipe. The discount for upgrading increases when more items are upgraded. It can be increased by having players complete certain achievements or complete quests.

Crests

Players have several options for upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to everyone who wants to upgrade items. Crests are more specific, and are used during specific Item Level Upgrade (Yogaasanas.Science) level upgrades. Crests are the main component of the Dragonflight gear progression system, which was introduced in 10.1, and come in 4 ranks.

The first thing to be aware of is that crests are only able to be used to purchase equipment that is of a particular rank, and each rank has different requirements for upgrading. The easiest and most straightforward upgrade is 15 crests. The most complex upgrade requires up to 20 crests, based on the kind of equipment being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through completing content at the appropriate level. This could be done by engaging in outdoor activities or taking on dungeons and raids of all difficulty levels to obtain equipment of lower tier or Mythicbosses for raids, or dungeons with heroic difficulty for gear in the endgame. These crests are then exchanged with an upgrader like Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken to upgrade the item in the proper steps and paths.

The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, however it will bring some modifications to the upgrade process. For example, once an item is at the highest upgrade level of any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it will no longer require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change is intended to allow players to upgrade their gear up to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also crucial to choose crests wisely, as they are only used for one purpose. For instance, it's a good idea to use all of your Whelpling-rank crests with the Best item upgrader equipment you have, and then save Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you're planning on making. This is especially true for items such as rings and trinkets that occupy multiple slots. The discount on the account is only applicable when all the slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
