But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. This refrigerator is costly and I was expecting better.

This fridge is a great option, despite the slight blip. It has a large freezer compartment which is uncommon for counter-depth French door fridges. It also holds plenty of frozen food compared to other models.

The fridge comes with 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment has 18.5 cubic feet, which is the standard for a french door fridge meaning-door fridge at this price. It also has an adequate-sized icemaker in the left-hand door, although it's not the biggest I've seen.

You can alter the shelves in both compartments to make an individual storage solution. The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS is good-looking, too. The LED lighting is a nice addition and the inside storage bins have an additional shelf that can fold down so that you can store large items. The drawers have temperature controls that allow you to set them to Meat, Beverage or Deli settings. The drawers are simple to shut and open, but I found the plastic's textured coatings a bit hard on my fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator comes with the full suite of features you'd expect from a refrigerator at this price, including Wi-Fi and app support via GE's SmartHQ software. The app is available for iOS and Android devices and allows you to control your refrigerator from any place across the globe. It also comes with numerous options for customizing. It will also send you notifications when the door is left unlocked as well as when the freezer or fridge requires defrosting, and when the filter needs to be changed.

It would be nice to have GE PYE22PYNFS had Precise Fill which is a feature available in a handful of GE refrigerators that allow users to set the amount of cups they wish to disperse. The fridge displays a countdown to reveal how much water remains but it's not as effective as Precise Fill.

Bosch Counter Depth french door fridge used Door Refrigerator

Created to appear like a seamless part of your kitchen Bosch's french door fridge with ice dispenser door refrigerator is a standout. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also features a veggie compartment which keeps vegetables and fruits fresher for longer periods, and two compressors to preserve food items. The ice maker is one of the most efficient we've ever tested and produces a pyramid-shaped Ice with low water consumption. This refrigerator is the ideal choice for single household or kitchenettes that want an integrated look and top-of-the-line food preservation.

The fridge was rated the best refrigerator in our Refrigerators test, for a few reasons. The freezer temperature remained steady at just above 0° Fahrenheit and never fluctuated more than a tiny fraction - this is essential to avoid freezing burn. The refrigerator section of the fridge also performed well. It reached the temperature it was set within a matter of hours, and remained at the temperature throughout our tests.

Bosch is a household name known for its high-end appliances. It's therefore no surprise that the Bosch counter depth refrigerator can be connected to your home Wi Fi and Bosch's Home Connect. The app allows you to control and monitor your refrigerator remotely from your tablet or smartphone. The refrigerator is costly, but offers great features and capabilities at a fair price.

It is important to know the limitations of your fridge. It is possible to be inventive with tall items since the fridge is limited in shelf space. The shelves aren't resistant to spills and are easily stained or damaged by sharp objects. It is easy to take out the trays in the fridge however, you must keep them clean to avoid the growth of mold.

It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. Inside, the fridge has an ordinary French-door design with gallon-sized door bins at each door, two rows of shelves for spill-capture, and a set of crisper drawers. The top shelf on the right can be folded down to make space for tall items. There's also a full-width drawer to store food items and an internal water dispenser.

This refrigerator is equipped with an ice maker making it simple to transfer ice when needed. The freezer is designed with thoughtful elements, too, like sliding drawers to help you to organize the place of your items. It comes with a large bin to store frozen food items, and a separate one for ice.

Smart InstaView panel is another awesome feature of the refrigerator. It lets you control the temperature of your fridge as well as lighting using your smartphone. It's a simple method to monitor your fridge and manage it, especially when not at home.

But while the Smart InstaView is a neat feature, it doesn't necessarily improve the overall performance of the refrigerator. In fact it took a bit longer to defrost and chill foods in this fridge as compared to other fridges we test. This is likely due to the greater capacity.

Another issue with the doors of this refrigerator. They have sunken handles on the front that allow smaller people to open them from the bottom, however they're difficult for taller people to pull shut without slamming them. It would have been more effective if these had front-mounted handles.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX is a excellent choice for those who want to combine the advantages of a French-door refrigerator's aesthetics with an efficient layout. It has a capacity that is higher than average for counter-depth models, and it cools evenly. It's also less expensive than the top counter-depth refrigerator with an ice maker, which helps make it a popular choice.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

If you're looking for an French door refrigerator that won't break the bank and isn't expensive, this Frigidaire is a good choice. It's a basic design that's not as striking visually as some of the competition but it does have enough features that make it a great choice. Its main characteristic is the adjustable temperature drawer that helps keep food items like veggies and meat fresher for longer. It also comes with a huge water and ice maker dispenser.

The "Chill Drawer", which sits over the two crisper bins, is a nice feature. This drawer lets you divert a portion of the refrigerator's cooling power directly into this area, meaning you can store foods that require extra attention. This feature can be adjusted using a slider located outside the drawer. It is also possible to use this to set a general cooling setting for the entire fridge, however, I've found that changing the general settings tends to produce better results than specific ones.

In my tests, I discovered that the temperatures of the refrigerator were fairly consistent in various parts of the refrigerator. Temperatures in the top and bottom of the fridge did not vary much from 38 degrees, and even the middle of the fridge was within a degree of 36. This is a solid performance but does not quite make it to the top of our ratings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. This fridge can be paired with a smart thermostat to get more accurate readings on the internal temperature of your fridge.

The exterior of the Frigidaire is made of grey-bodied stainless that has a "smudge resistant" finish. It does a great job of removing streaks and fingerprints, even compared to glossy stainless steel finishes on other appliances I've tested.
