World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Item upgrades can be used to boost the stats of an item. Based on the type of upgrade, it may increase an item's Rarity or Mark Level and boost additional stats.

Upgrades to gear in The War Within requires a certain number of Flightstones and Crests, and each item comes with an upgrade track. Each upgrade increases the price of the next item by a specific amount.

Item Level

The value of an item's stats base increase when it is upgraded. The value is the sum of all of its leveled up advantages (attack, magic attack and defense). The cost of upgrading items can be high, depending on the upgrader and the type of upgrade you choose to do. This is due to how many perks need to be replaced to allow the item to be upgraded.

Item level is a widely used measurement of power and can be seen on all tooltips for items. It is also used as a gating requirement while waiting to queue for dungeons and scenarios, and raids, as well as to limit the amount of PvP gear a player can wear (since PvP is capped at an lower level). Players can see their average level of item on their character sheet.

When deciding whether to buy or sell equipment players can evaluate the item level. It's a useful gauge of an item's worth and how much damage it is able to deal. Comparing items in the inventory of a seller is possible using the item's level.

The level of the item can be viewed by pressing the ALT key on PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. The item will be displayed with its full description, including ilvl. You can also find it by hovering over an item and typing /itemlevel in chat.

Item Stats

The stats of an item upgrade can be the difference between a good or bad item for players. The game makes use of a lot of them in various ways to encourage players to use multiple weapons, and also to stop one weapon from being "the most effective." The stat mods of an weapon increase the base stats. These stat mods are then enhanced by a player's level.

Upgrades to an item may increase its stats. The rarity of an item determines the upgrade cost. A grey or white item for instance, will only be upgraded one time and items with rare tiers may be upgraded multiple times with higher costs.

Another method of altering the stats of an item is to use affixes. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an item by the player, and come in a variety of sizes and shapes. Affixes can be used to give the item additional damage, add a special ability to the item (such as reviving the dead or reducing the cooldowns), or make the item unique by giving an exclusive name to the item.

At present, all affixes can be rerolled by selecting them from the upgrade window and pressing the green button with circling arrows. This process will cost the player a specific amount of gold as well as items that can be added to the upgrade gauge in the same way as the other rerolling options.

In addition to Rerolling affixes and rerolls, players can select which stats to keep on an item when it is upgraded. Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player increases the chance of finding items, the properties that are generated by loot, and the intensity of these properties. However, it does not directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It provides players with an opportunity to get better equipment earlier in the game. This is especially beneficial for early game runs, because players tend to put weapon scaling and defenses above raw damage gains.

Luck can also increase the likelihood of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This is not to confuse with the Blacksmith’s overall chances of upgrading, which increase with each item level. It is also possible to be increased by using anti-materials such as a Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.

Armor, shields and weapons come with a default Luck value of 40. These items can be enhanced by golden ingots, spined leather or oak boards (depending on the type of material used) to give +40 Luck or to increase the existing Luck of an item up to 140.

Certain items, such as the weapon with Hollow-infused components can also be crafted to increase the damage dealt by any ability that causes damage by five percent. These items are available at the store, or they can be made using the correct ingredients.

Item Failure

Not all upgrades work. However, there are cash shop items that allow players to boost their success rate or prevent themselves from losing an item if the upgrade is unsuccessful.

When you upgrade an item the success rate is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage indicates the probability of successfully upgrading an item. This can be increased by using Additional Materials or Special Materials. The percentage of success can only be increased by so much, and the chance that an upgrade will fail cannot be greater than 100%..

The Luck of an item can influence the effectiveness of an upgrade. All items have an initial success rate of 25%, and every item that has Luck increases the chance of success by 5percent.
