Its main selling feature is its modularity - it's compatible across all the brand's baby strollers and car seats. You can build your own travel system, regardless of whether you want to go on shorter walk or a longer one, by using the chassis.

Tyres

The tyres for 3 wheel stroller with car seat wheel buggies are available in a variety of styles and materials, and each has its pros and cons. For instance, tyres that are filled with air offer a great ride and manoeuvrability, while foam-filled tyres last longer. The type you pick will be based on your personal preferences and the location you live in.

Another option worth considering is the Urban Glide 2 from Thule which boasts a sleek design with a massive, manoeuvrable front wheel, a great suspension and an easy-to-use twist handbrake. MFM reviewer Kath put the buggy through its tests by taking it for a walk through rough terrain. She found that it handled it really well and claimed that it "navigates over bumpy grass, cobbles, sidewalks, and dirt tracks and allows you to easily go up and down kerbs".

The Roma Atlas is another popular off-road model and, like the Urban Glide 2, comes in a range of colours to match your style. It also comes with an adjustable handlebar, a spacious basket and an ultraviolet hood that is 50+. You can also select from a selection of infant car seats that will transform the buggy into a pram. This includes the elegantly designed Carrycot Plus(tm), which is a comfortable, flat bed for newborns or babies from 12 months old.

Safety

Four wheels make the pushchair much more stable, less likely to tip and easier to handle. It can also be safer for your baby as their weight is distributed more evenly throughout the frame of the pushchair.

A four-wheeled vehicle has a lower center of gravity, which makes it easier to climb over curbs and walk up. The sling seat is affixed inside the frame rather than over it as modular seats do, which makes for a low-slung seating position, and a lighter buggy that can be easily manoeuvred.

If you're looking to go for a run with your baby then a 4-wheeler might be more suitable as it comes with a suspension system that allows the front wheel to move independently of the back wheel to allow you to tackle rough terrains and bumpy roads Be aware that not all buggies with 4 wheels are suitable for running (most are NOT, such as the Phil and Teds). Mountain Buggies are the exception since they feature an exclusive suspension system that has been tested independently across all terrains.
